Chances are if you are taking the time to read this post, you didn't win that GINORMOUS lottery windfall. If you had, you would probably be busy planning the rest of your life or at least getting your affairs in order to collect that check!
Like so many, if you bought a ticket, you most likely spent a little time fantasizing about what you would do with the winnings.
So, what would you have done with all that money?
All joking aside, I would like to talk to you about money, prosperity, and abundance because having more money doesn't change your underlying beliefs around money.
If your beliefs and behavior stay the same, it doesn't matter how much money you make.
This is why so many lottery winners end up losing it all in the end!
Let's explore your relationship with prosperity and examine some deep-seated blocks that are potentially getting in the way of experiencing more abundance in your life.
HOW DO YOU EAT A PIECE OF BURNT TOAST?
The answer to this question can tell me a lot about your relationship with prosperity.
Would you throw it away and get a new piece?
Would you scrape off the black and make do?
Would you eat it as is and suffer- because the unconscious message is "this piece of bread is worth more than my satisfaction"!
Attracting more prosperity in your life begins and ends with changing the story. The story of self-worth and value–a narrative that we essentially learned before we were nine and, with lots of practice, have done a great job keeping well and alive.
To transform anything, you must first become aware of it.
Imagine you are nine years old and are looking into the window of your childhood home. There you see the surroundings and environment.
What does it look like?
Can you see the people who live in that home?
Who are the adults?
Notice yourself, the child. Notice the conversations and energy around money.
Who provides the money for the home?
Is there a primary breadwinner, or is it shared?
Who manages the money? Is it the same person?
Is money talked about in the home?
Is there fear and contention around money?
Is there a feeling of scarcity and lack?
Is there a feeling of abundance in the home, not only around money but experiences, time, and energy?
Is there secrecy around money or judgment for those who have it or those who do not?
Is there an energy or expectation around money from an older generation or outside influences?
Is there anyone who teaches you about money and how to manage it?
Are you expected to earn your keep, whether paid or unpaid?
See if you can notice; at what age did you make your first dollar?
Did you spend it or save it?
Notice if your friends and neighbors, do they appear to have more than you and your family?
Our childhood is rich with wisdom about our unconscious beliefs, who we are today, and our fears and strengths around money and prosperity.
And because money is an energy used to assign value and power, it can be the driving force or the greatest obstacle that keeps us from living a prosperous, abundant life.
But first, you must be courageous and look within to understand where and how your limiting beliefs are getting in the way.
